V.I. Lenin: Creator of a new political science for the liberation of the dispossessed classes

He dominated foreign languages and the natural sciences; he attained recognition as an insightful economist; and he was a brilliant lawyer in his brief practice of that profession. But beginning very early, he was inclined to the search for the true and comprehensive knowledge, which led him to the theory of Karl Marx, who had taken the side of those at the bottom of the social order. Adapting the profound essence of that theory, Lenin found the social and political subjects that were capable of transforming human society, combining this with the political capacity of leading the great majority to social transformation.
His analysis of Russia at the end of the nineteenth century and of the world in the first quarter of the twentieth century drove him to discern the subjects that were called to produce global change, whom he convoked through the Third International, where the peasants emerged with the political quality of a new historical subject. He therefore changed the slogan that the Communist Manifesto synthesized and commanded, and included in the final mandate the oppressed peoples of the world, which made him vibrant for all human beings.
For the first time, politics attained a truly global character. The capitalist system had not fulfilled its tasks of literacy for all and the development of industry; it only managed to convert the human being into merchandise, which created obstacles to the transformation toward a new economic-social formation.
With Lenin was inaugurated scientific politics for the working class, which formulated the meaning of class consciousness and of the political parity as well as the role of the peasants as subjects, and which assumed a central role in the formation of the new society. Without the October Revolution, which was his brilliant creation, the world would not have been able to beat back Nazi-fascism.
April 22 marks 150 years since the birth of that genius from Russia, who with his extraordinary revolutionary and scientific qualities created a new political science for the liberation of the dispossessed classes and for the formation of a true humanism, the only thing capable of saving the species that Fidel in 1992 declared to be in danger of extinction.
