Cultural Gala held in Bayamo Thursday evening to mark July 26th celebrations

Bayamo, July 25 (RHC) – The cultural gala "From the Moncada Barracks to the Future" was held Thursday evening at the Bayamo Theater to mark the Day of National Rebelliousness. Local singers, performers and guests from other provinces were on hand as well as national artists, such as singers Mundito González and Eduardo Sosa.
Dance companies, including Codanza and Biendanza; the Manzanillo Concert Band; the Group Entre Cuerdas; the San Salvador de Bayamo Chamber Orchestra and actors and actresses from the eastern province of Granma, where Bayamo is located, performed in the gala. Music, dance, poems and choreographic pieces commemorated the anniversary of the July 26th 1953 attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, the action that sparked the Cuban Revolution.
