Cuban artists in Japan dedicate concert to health staff

Havana, May 4 (RHC) -- Cuban artists residing in Japan joined in a memorable concert in tribute to the island’s personnel, according to the Cuban embassy to Tokyo.

From Cuba, prestigious musicians, such as Pancho Amat and the Moncada group joined, while Alexis Díaz Pimienta's ‘décimas’ were also  involved from Spain to homage those who in Cuba and other nations of the world save lives and face the epidemic of COVID-19. Messages of appreciation and encouragement from the island’s baseball players, Omar Linares and Alfredo Despaigne, who plays in Japan, were also present. In a special way, the testimony of young Dr. José Enrique Ortiz, Internal Medicine specialist and member of the Cuban medcal brigade in Lombardy, Italy, was included.
