Havana, February 16 (RHC)-- The abolition of slavery in Cuba 130 years ago was the center of Tuesday's debates at the 25th International Book Fair 'Cuba 2016'.
U.S. Nina Jablonski, a Professor from the University of Pennsylvania, led a conference entitled: 'The Illusion of Race,'. Attendees included intellectuals, academics and university professors from Cuba, Brazil, Colombia, the United States, Spain, Britain and Nigeria.
Delegates debated the issue also in work sessions, and panel discussions.
