Volleyball star Robertlandy Simon currently training in Havana

Havana, July 15 (RHC) – Former captain of the Cuban National Volleyball team Robertlandy Simon has begun training at the National Volleyball School in Havana, hoping to get back to his optimal fitness level.

Simon has his mind set on becoming part of the Cuban National team that will participate in the Pre-Olympics competitions in Russia from August 9th to 11th.

Along with Simon, Michael Sanchez and Raydel Hierrezuelo are in the middle of negotiations with the Cuban Volleyball Federation, since they can become the first players to play for a Cuban team after signing deals on their own with foreign professional teams.
