The Cuban Osleni Guerrero, first national racket, reached the title in the singles category at the III Tournament Open of Venezuela-2014 which brought together 120 players from 14 countries, by defeating Brazilian Daniel Paiola, official sources said in Caracas.
Guerrero, 54th in the world ranking with 26 680 points, won a solid victory (21-13, 21-8) to Paiola owner of the 81st seat in the world list.
Thus, the Cuban successfully defended the crown reached in the 2013 edition of the Venezuelan Open; Guerrero also reached the title at the International Open of Peru this year.
The young girl Marcia Videaux successfully debuted by winning the Moncada Cup of Artistic Gymnastics, recently played at the National School of the sport in Havana. The young local talent was escorted by her teammate Dovelis Elena Torres and Colombian Ginna Escobar.
