The young men's volleyball team of Cuba travels today to Poland to participate in the XXVIII World Championship, scheduled to take place from this Saturday until September 21st in various cities of that European country, said the Cuban National Information Agency.

Baseball U-18

Cuba will participate in the 18-U Pan-American Baseball Championship to be played in La Paz, Bolivia, from September 4th to 15th, with the participation of national teams of several regional nations with a view to qualifying for the 2015 World Baseball Cup in Japan.

According to the official site of the event, Mexico, the United States, Canada, Cuba, Panama, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador and Guatemala are the confirmed teams for this tournament.

World Basketball

More than a thousand agents of the Spain's Security Forces of the State will be part of the safety ring during the World Basketball Championship which will be discussed in the cities of Seville and Granada, according to a statement from the Government Delegation in Andalusia, reported by EFE news agency.

The operation, launched on August 25th, is focused on these two Spanish cities, hosts of the preliminary meetings between Saturday, August 30th until September 5th.
