La Paz, September 26 (RHC-Agencies) -- Bolivian President Evo Morales on Tuesday called the TV debate between U.S. presidential candidates "only a show" and said the November elections would not affect Bolivia-U.S. ties.

During a public appearance in the city of Santa Cruz, Morales said: "Whoever wins doesn't change anything for me, the elected presidents do not govern, the bankers and businessmen govern. The debates are just a show to get more votes."

Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump faced off for the first time on Monday night in the chaotic 2016 election cycle, bombarding each other with critical remarks and even insults.

Morales repeatedly lashed out at the "double morality" of the United States on issues related to democracy and human rights, referring to the wealthy dominating American politics and the country pursuing wars, which kill thousands of people all over the world.

Morales said: "The United States only has one policy, that of intervention. This will not change with presidents and governments."
