Peruvian President Begins State Visit to Colombia

Lima, February 12 (RHC-ANDINA) -- Peruvian President Ollanta Humala met Tuesday with top authorities of the legislative and judicial branches in Colombia on the first day of his state visit to the neighbouring country.

After attending the 8th Pacific Alliance Summit in Cartagena, the Peruvian leader held separate meetings with Colombia's Senate President Juan Fernando Cristo and Supreme Court President Luis Gabriel Miranda Buelvas.

Also on Tuesday, Ollanta Humala met with his Colombian counterpart Juan Manuel Santos, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and issues of regional interest.

The Peruvian head of state was also scheduled to meet with Bogota's Mayor Gustavo Petro before wrapping up his two-day visit to Colombia.
