Washington, March 10 (RHC)--The White House has confirmed that President Donald Trump will travel to the 8th Summit of the Americas, slated for Lima, Peru for April 13 and 14. Following that trip, he will then visit Colombia.

It will be Trump’s first visit to Latin America. He will meet with Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, the White House said.

In a preview of what is to be expected from the Washington-sponsored event, earlier this week Trump spoke on the phone with Peruvian president Kuczynski. A White House readout cited by CNN and which reveals the subversive intentions behind the regional gathering, Trump and Kuczynski discussed "restoring democracy in Venezuela" and other matters pertaining the summit.
