Caracas, August 28 (RHC)-- The Venezuelan government facilitated the return of 89 nationals who were in Peru and had requested to go back to their home country. Upon their arrival this Tuesday, several of them said they never intended to leave the country and criticized the on-going campaign regarding Venezuela and migration.

TeleSUR reported that those returning were met with hugs, laughter, and tears as they arrived at the Caracas international airport in Maiquetía.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry had announced the return of the Venezuelan citizens after they requested help from the government to come back from Peru under the "Vuelta A La Patria" (Return to Homeland) plan promoted by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
