Quito, October 7 (RHC)-- Ecuadorean President Lenin Moreno has appeared on national TV, vowing to continue austerity measures, including price hikes.   He said he will not cancel his neo-liberal measures, despite five days of protests against his policies.

The Ecuadorean president also made the totally unsubstantiated claim that former President Rafael Correa and former Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño are coordinating a coup against his government and are receiving orders directly from Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

This is a developing story.    Check for more later.
