Venezuela and Argentina Strengthen Defense Integration

 Caracas, April 25 (PL-RHC) -- In Caracas today, the defense ministers of Venezuela, Carmen Teresa Carmen Melendez, and Argentina, Agustín Rossi, signed the final documents of an exchange aimed at strengthening integration.

Melendez emphasized that cooperation on defense is going to be the victor, always “with the example that our north is the south”.

The Venezuelan minister affirmed in meetings with Rossi, that Caracas supported the cause of the Falklands, together with the possibilities of collaboration in technology and scientific research.

Melendez also reported that the 'Nestor Kirchner-Hugo Chavez' professorship will be created at the Bolivarian Military University with the purpose of studying the legacy of both leaders.

Rossi referred to the agreements that considered the training of members of both armed forces and the importance that Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela has for his country.

He also considered that some of the boats made in Venezuela could be used in river patrol operations by the Argentina Navy.
