Brasilia, May 31 (RHC)-- In Brazil, police raided dozens of locations linked to extremist right-wing activists propagating fake news online in support of far-right President Jair Bolsonaro.

The raids this past week came as part of an ongoing investigation into a fake news network that authorities believe is linked to the president’s son, Carlos Bolsonaro.

Brazil’s COVID-19 cases have topped 410,000 with over 25,000 deaths.  Brazil is now second to the United States for the most coronavirus infections in the world.
