Washington, February 25 (RHC)-- A group of U.S. Democratic senators has introduced legislation proposing sanctions for Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández and blocking financial aid and ammunition sales to Honduran law enforcement over human rights violations and corruption.

Hernández has been linked to drug trafficking in at least three major U.S. cases.  He is a key U.S. ally.
