Brasilia, June 12 (PL-RHC) -- Chilean President Michelle Bachelet is on an official visit to Brazil where she is holding talks on energy and physical integration issues with her counterpart, Dilma Rousseff.

This is Bachelet's first visit to Brazil since beginning her second term on March 11th, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the official agenda, both presidents will address issues related to energy cooperation, physical integration, trade and capital investments, and they will also review regional and multilateral issues.

This opportunity will be taken to sign a memorandum of understanding for the exchange of information on human rights violations during the military regimes in the two countries, which will allow the work of the National Commission for Truth (CNV) of this nation.

It is expected that Bachelet and Rousseff will attend the opening ceremony of the World Cup later Thursday in the Corinthians stadium in Sao Paulo to which other Latin American Heads of State have been invited.
