Argentinian President Cristina Fernández Travels to Brazil to Attend BRICS-UNASUR Meeting

Buenos Aires, July 15 (RHC)-- Argentinian President Cristina Fernàndez has travelled to Brasilia to attend Wednesday the first summit between heads of state of the BRICS and UNASUR countries, constituting the first official political contact between them.

According to reports, the schedule of the joint meeting starts with a welcome speech by the host, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, to be followed by the plenary meeting and then a luncheon at the Brazilian Foreign Ministry.

Most of the Presidents of UNASUR and of CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) were arriving Tuesday in Brasilia, ahead of Wednesday's important joint meeting.

The meeting with UNASUR will be held following BRICS´s summit, which opened today in Fortaleza.
