Tel Aviv, August 5 (RHC)-- The Israeli army plans to continue its deadly attacks in the besieged Gaza Strip, after conducting massacres in the blockaded territory for over four weeks.

Israel's military spokesman, General Moti Almoz, said while speaking to a local news network on Monday: "We will not leave; we will stay in the Gaza Strip; there are many more missions to complete." The spokesman did not elaborate on Tel Aviv's so-called 'new missions.'

In their offensive on the blockaded territory, Israeli forces have mostly targeted civilian areas and have not spared even schools, mosques, and hospitals. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in televised remarks on Saturday that the Israeli military operations against the blockaded enclave will continue as long as necessary.

He stressed that the Israeli military will reassess its operations in Gaza, noting that the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, will pay an "intolerable price" if it continues to fire retaliatory rockets at Israel.

Hamas spokesman, Sami Abu Zuhri, reacted to Netanyahu's remarks and said his comments were intended to "repair the Israeli spirit" following the defeat of the Tel Aviv regime in Gaza. Medical sources say at least 1,865 people, including 400 children, have been killed and over 9,500 injured since the Israeli regime began its offensive against the Gaza Strip on July 8th.

Palestinian resistance fighters continue their rocket attacks against Israeli cities in retaliation for Tel Aviv's relentless onslaught on the blockaded Gaza Strip. The Israeli military says 64 of its soldiers have been killed in the conflict, but Hamas puts the fatalities at more than 150.
