Rio de Janeiro, September 17 (Xinhua-RHC) -- Poll results released late Tuesday showed that Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff technically will tie with rival Marina Silva in an eventual runoff in the presidential elections.

According to polling firm Ibope, Rousseff has 36 percent of voting intention, down from 39 percent in the previous poll. She is followed by Silva, with 30 percent, down from 31 percent in the previous poll, and Aecio Neves, with 19 percent, up from 15 percent in the previous poll.

The other eight candidates shared two percent of voting intention. Six percent remain undecided and seven percent said they will vote null.

However, in the simulated runoff scenarios, Silva has the lead against Rousseff, 43 percent to 40 percent, but the two are technically tied due to the poll's margin of error.

Rousseff continues to have the highest rejection rate among candidates: 32 percent of electors said they would not vote for her under any circumstances. Neves has a rejection rate of 19 percent, and Silva, 14 percent.

The Ibope poll was carried out among 3,010 electors from 204 towns all over Brazil between September 13th and the 15th.
