New York, November 7 (RHC)-- Anti-Israeli events on university campuses across the United States have more than doubled in the fall compared to the same period last year, according to a new report.

The New York-based Anti-Defamation League said in a recent report that anti-Israeli activism has risen significantly on U.S. campuses following the recent 50-day Israeli onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip.

The pro-Israeli organization recorded more than 75 events against Israel in US universities and colleges since the beginning of the 2014-2015 academic year as opposed to 35 events during the same time period last year. Student activists hosted at least 374 events critical of Israel during the previous academic year.

The report shows that some 40 percent of the events were focused on initiating boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel. Student groups also organized at least 30 demonstrations in the United States to condemn the latest Israeli war on Gaza.
