Lausanne, April 1 (RHC)-- Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says he hopes the parties attending talks over the country’s nuclear energy program could arrive at the expected understanding on Wednesday. He told reporters: “I hope that we can finalize the work on Wednesday and hopefully start the process of drafting tomorrow.”

Iran and the P5+1 group -- Russia, China, France, Britain, the U.S. and Germany -- which are holding talks in the Swiss city of Lausanne, had hoped to reach a mutual understanding by late Tuesday as part of broader efforts to clinch a final agreement on Tehran nuclear activities by the end of June.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also said early Wednesday that the world powers had "reached an agreement in principle on all key aspects" of the outlines of a nuclear deal.
