French Prime Minister Cancels Visit to Ecuador after Terrorist Attack

Quito, June 27 (RHC-PL) -– French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has postponed a planned visit to Ecuador due to the terrorist attack against a gas factory in southeastern France, the French Embassy confirmed today in Quito.

Due to a serious situation in France, the visit of Manuel Valls, Prime Minister of the French Government, scheduled for June 26-27, was cancelled, reported the Embassy's Media Officer in a statement.

The source explained that an attack took place in the city of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, resulting in two injured people and a decapitated body that was found near a factory where the gas explosion occurred.

All the activities of the French Government are focused now on this tragic event, added the statement from the European Embassy, saying that French President François Hollande also cancelled a visit to Belgium.
