Caracas, July 24 (RHC)-- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro says that his country is coordinating preventive measures against the possible eruption of the underwater volcano Kickem Yenny, located eight kilometers north of Grenada, which could cause a tsunami in the coming hours.

Through social networks, the president said that all measures are being taken and urged people to remain calm and alert.

President Maduro said that his office maintains constant communications with all governors, military commanders and members of the agencies of Civil Protection and Disaster Management, as well as with regional governments and international institutions to monitor this alert.
