Gaza City, January 16 (RHC)-- At least two Palestinians have been killed and 10 others wounded in an attack by Israeli troops on protesters in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Officials said 18-year-old Muhammad Abu Zayed was fatally shot in the head as Israeli troops fired live bullets at protesters east of Bureij refugee camp. A second Palestinian was shot dead in the same area shortly later.

Palestinian medical officials said at least 10 others were wounded by live bullets during the clashes.

More than two dozen Palestinians have been shot dead by Israeli forces in clashes along the Gaza fence since the beginning of October, according to the UN Agency for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
