Port-au-Prince, January 29 (RHC)-- The Haitian government has called on citizens to maintain calm to preserve democracy, promising to respect and take into account the people's proposals and demands to solve the current political crisis.

The Executive has instructed the national police to take the necessary measures to maintain order and preserve life and property.

Meanwhile, Haitian President Michel Martelly said Thursday that he is working hard to find a solution to the current crisis before February 7th, when his term is up.
