Latin American Governments and peoples Pay Tribute to Hugo Chavez

Caracas, March 5 (RHC-PL), -- Latin American statesmen and citizens pay tribute to Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, on the third anniversary of his death, marked on March 5th, with a day of cultural, military and political activities.

In the morning, the Teresa Carreno theater in Caracas hosted the Chavez forum: 'Leader of the XXI century', dedicated to the thinking of the socialist leader. In the afternoon President Nicolas Maduro opened the civic-military tribute at the 'Cuartel de la Montaña' where Chavez is buried.

Several heads of state, among them Evo Morales, Bolivia, Daniel Ortega, Nicaragua and Salvador Sanchez Ceren, El Salvador, are present for the ceremonies.

Social movements and community organizations have also organized cultural activities in the most important plazas of the country.
