Brasilia, Mar 11 (RHC) In Palacio de Alvorada, Brasilia, President Dilma Rousseff led  an emergency ministerial meeting, after the Attorney's Office in Sao Paulo requested preventive custody for former President Luiz Innácio Lula da Silva.

The meeting was convened short after learning of the court warrant against Lula, claiming  undeclared ownership of an appartment in Guarujá Beach. However, O' Globo daily quotes a government source who defines the warrant as inconsistent and bordering ridicule.

Dilma Rousseff voiced publicly her solidarity with Lula last Friday when the Federal Police arrested him and raided his home, and called on both sympathizers and opponents to foster peace and dialogue, amid the  permanent climate of political tension prevailing in the country.
