Castries, Mar 29 (RHC-PL) Saint Lucia wants to increase its cattle output to reduce imports, a reason to improve its farming stations in Beausejour, north of the country, says the Agriculture Ministry.

For that reason, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will introduce a project the Fund for Poverty and Mitigation of Hunger of IBSA Group (India, Brazil and South Africa) will finance to convey changes to the national farming infrastructure.

The program covers for artificial insemination and genetic improvement, said the IBSA Director Félix Jaria.
