Geneva, September 6 (RHC)-- Cuba advocated at the United Nations for total disarmament and a world free of weapons of mass destruction, particularly nuclear arms.

Addressing the 6th Meeting of State Parties of the International Convention on Cluster Munitions in Geneva, Cuban representative Rodolfo Benítez voiced Cuba's position against war and violence.

The Cuban diplomat termed as an 'unacceptable fallacy' the argument raised by some powerful states, who say that there are not enough resources to fight poverty and promote development in a world where military spending and arms sales are invariably on the rise.
