Caracas, September 12 (RHC)-- Venezuela has renewed its condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed and maintained by the United States of America against Cuba for nearly 6 decades.

The government of President Nicolás Maduro described the blockade policy as 'anachronistic' particularly after the reestablishment of diplomatic ties between the United States and Cuba in July 2015.

In a communique, the government in Caracas also termed Washington's unilateral coercive measure as criminal, extraterritorial, obsolete and an expression of Washington's domination strategy.

The Venezuelan government said the South American country will vote once again in favor of the Cuban resolution against the blockade at the UN General Assembly in October and urged Washington to listen to the demand of the vast majority of the international community represented there, who year after year condemn the blockade and demand its immediate lifting.
