US Attorneys Visit Cuba

Havana, September 26 (RHC-ACN)-- A delegation made up of 37 officials from the Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) of the United States is visiting Cuba, where they will meet with officials from the Cuban Attorney General's Office.

Comprising 11 State Attorneys General, the delegation's objectives is to exchange experiences of the structure and composition of the district attorney's offices in both countries.

In addition, the visitors will learn about the role of Cuban prosecutors as guarantor of legality; the general justice system and legal cooperation in confronting transnational crime.

The US delegation will also meet with representatives of the Popular Supreme Court (TSP by its Spanish acronym), the Faculty of Law of the University of Havana, in addition to members of the Cuba´s National Union of Jurists (UNJC by its Spanish acronym) and the National Organization of Law Offices (ONBC by its Spanish acronym).

The visit of the American jurists will conclude on September 28th.
