Chicago, October 31 (RHC/Workers World)-- The National Network on Cuba, an umbrella organization of Cuba solidarity, social justice and anti-imperialist groups in the United States, will hold its national meeting at the University of Illinois in Chicago from November 18th to the 20th.

Participants will hear from Cuban diplomats and representatives of the Cuban Friendship Institute, ICAP.

Chicago was chosen as venue given its active and longstanding organizing of solidarity with Cuba events and its vibrant labor, Black Lives Matter, Puerto Rican liberation and anti-war movements.

The agenda includes informational panels on topics like the current fight to stop the Internal Revenue Service from revoking the non-profit status of IFCO-Pastors for Peace, organizer of Friendshipment Caravans to Cuba; the case of Floridian Albert Fox, who is facing a $100,000 fine for travel to Cuba; discussion of ethical travel to Cuba, and other issues.

More information is available on the web-page of the National Network on Cuba – http://www.nnoc.org/cubasolidarity/aboutnnoc/index.htm.
