Bolivian President Evo Morales Thanks Cuba for Its Health Cooperation

Chapare, August 19 (RHC)-- Bolivian President Evo Morales thanked Cuban health professionals working in the Andean nation under existing cooperation agreements, describing their performance as 'a well done job.'

President Morales spoke during the Health Fair organized by the country's health ministry in the city of Cochabamba. He said, Cuban professionals are participating actively in the health initiative, offering free consultations in 22 different disciplines.

About the Cuban professionals, he said: “Our Cuban brothers and sisters come to help us, leaving behind their families, their homelans. But Bolivia is also their homeland.”

More than 100 professionals with Cuba's medical brigade, along with Bolivian professionals –many of then Cuban-trained specialists-, are participating in the Health Fair in Cochabamba.

The specialists are conducting primary health care actions , as well as specialized consultations in such disciplines as gynecology, gastroenterology, traumatology, odontology, and surgery, among others.
