Belarus, Cuba Considering Joint Projects in IT, Biomedicine, Farming

Minsk, 26 August (RHC/BelTA) – Belarus and Cuba plan to implement joint projects in IT, biomedicine and agriculture, Belarus' State Science and Technology Committee has said in a press release.

It noted that the National Center for Intellectual Property of Belarus and the Cuban Industrial Property Office signed an agreement on cooperation.

The Belarus communique says the parties discussed the implementation of joint Belarusian-Cuban projects in biomedicine and pharmacy, agriculture and the IT sector, and that the agreement extends also to the exchange of technological information for economic development and to joint projects related to the use of industrial property instruments.

The Cuban Industrial Property Office is under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment. The office provides and registers rights for industrial property use.
