Havana, August 29 (RHC)-- The majority of teachers from all over Cuba were incorporated into educational institutions beginning yesterday in order to continue preparation and guarantee conditions for students on September 4, when the school year begins.
Ena Elsa Velázquez, Minister of Education, told national media that some are working in repair and maintenance and reception of study materials which are still being distributed.
She also explained that during her recent tour of the country, she observed with satisfaction the joint work of different organizations led by the Communist Party and the Government in each territory, which will ensure that the school year begins in better conditions than last year.
Ena Elsa Velázquez said that work is being done intensively to guarantee the new academic period, while highlighting the high priority given by the Cuban Revolution to teaching.
