King County Council Members Urge Lifting of U.S. Blockade of Cuba

Seattle, October 24 (RHC)-- Council members of King County in the U.S. city of Seattle, Washington, have urged the lifting of the U.S. blockade policy imposed and maintained by the United States of America against Cuba for nearly sixty years.
Council members Larry Gosset and Jeanne Kohl-Wells issued a proclamation on the issue during a council meeting Monday. The meeting coincided with the visit to Seattle by Miguel Fraga, a First Secretary with the Cuban Embassy in Washington.
The text, which both U.S. politicians later handed over to the Cuban diplomat, states that the economic siege has severely damaged U.S.-Cuba ties for too long already.
