Santo Domingo, December 20 (RHC-Minrex)-- Dominican children diagnosed with profound bilateral hearing loss, who received cochlear implants in Cuba, returned to the Dominican Republic with their relatives after completing the second stage of their treatment.

At the Las Americas International Airport, the delegation was received by the Cuban Ambassador, Carlos Jesús de la Nuez, and officials of the Office of the First Lady of the Dominican Republic.

Relatives, along with the doctor who accompanied them, were grateful for the care received at the Cira Garcia Clinic, where they were first operated on, and for their post-surgury rehabilitation at the La Pradera International Health Center.
