Debates in Cuban Parliamentary Commissions Conclude

Havana, December 20 (RHC-Granma)-- Updated information on the latest portfolio of foreign investment opportunities in Cuba was among the items debated during work commissions prior to the 10th Period of Ordinary Sessions of the National Assembly of People's Power.

At a time when efforts are being made to increase the participation of international capital in the country's economy, deputies were informed of results achieved during the last Havana International Trade Fair, held in November.

Food production was also analyzed, with an emphasis on increasing the application of science and technology in agriculture, in an effort to better meet the people's needs.

Progress in recovering tobacco production; the growth in tourism and maintaining its sustainability, as well as reports from the Attorney General and People's Supreme Court were also discussed.
