Havana, February 20 (RHC)-- The Mobile Library Project, by the Metropolitan Autonomous University of Mexico (UAM), was presented on Tuesday in Havana, with the purpose of strengthening academic cooperation between university students and professors of Cuba and Mexico.

The initiative aims at providing Cuban professors and students with the results of works carried out at the Mexican institution, said Jorge Alsina, director of the Xochimilco Unit of that higher education center.

The Mobile Library Project makes it possible to create, at very low cost, digital libraries contained in electronic devices, in order to boost the preservation and spreading of knowledge.
