Havana, February 26 (RHC)-- Namibian Prime Minister Hage Gottfried Geingob said in Havana that his country and Cuba share historic cooperation and friendly relations and it is now time to further strengthen economic links too.

After laying a wreath at the monument of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti, Gottfried said that both Namibia and Cuba are waging an economic battle in which mutual solidarity is crucial to attain results.

He said that he expected to further expand bilateral relations with Cuba and identify new areas for economic exchange, particularly agriculture and pharmaceuticals.

Hage Gottfried Geingob, who is the vice president of the ruling South Western African People’s Organization (SWAPO), arrived in Cuba on Monday afternoon for an official visit that includes meetings with government officials and visits to places of social and economic interest.
