International Construction Fair gets underway in Havana

Havana, April 3 (RHC)—Cuba´s International Construction Fair – Fecons- is kicking off this Tuesday with exhibitions of products, technologies and services from companies from 25 countries. 

Cuba´s first deputy minister of Construction, Ángel Vilaragut, announced that the exhibit will cover an area of ​​more than four thousand square meters in the Pabexpo Faris Grounds and will include stands from companies from Spain, Italy, Hungary, Brazil, Panama, Mexico, the United States and the host country, among others.

The official said that by 2030, Cuba is expecting the completion of important investment plans in different areas, such as tourism, renewable energy, water resources, ports and road infrastructure, and he added that Fecons will be a great contribution to the achievement of these goals.

The fair is expected to provide a glimpse to materials and modern technologies; as well as to promote exports of goods and services. 

On the margins of the fair, a scientific event on construction technologies will take place at Havana´s Convention Center. On its opening day, It will feature a keynote address by the UN resident coordinator in Cuba, Consuelo Vidal, and the historian of Havana, Eusebio Leal.
