International Brigade will participate in May Day parade in Havana

Havana, April 20 (RHC)--The 300 members of the 13th International May Day Brigade are expected to arrive in Cuba on Monday. The members of the solidarity group hail from some 30 countries and will join the parade on Jose Marti Revolution Square in Havana on the occasion of International Worker´s Day.

A statement from the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) says that the group will attend the traditional Cuba solidarity meeting, scheduled for May 2 at the Convention Center of Havana.

The visitors will also pay tribute to the student leader Julio Antonio Mella, the Heroic Guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara and the Major General of the Liberation Army Ignacio Agramonte.

The brigade will also carry out voluntary work, will meet workers and members of mass organizations, and will visit educational, historical and cultural centers in Havana, Artemisa, Villa Clara and Camagüey.
