Rosario, June 16 (RHC)-- The 16th National Cuba Solidarity Encounter is taking place in the Argentinean city of Rosario, the birthplace of Ernesto Che Guevara.
 
The inauguration ceremony, held at the La Comedia theater, was attended by Cuban hero and anti-terrorist fighter Antonio Guerrero; the island's Ambassador to Argentina, Orestes Pérez; and delegates from various countries, including Venezuela, Bolivia and Brazil.

The event coincides with activities in honor of Ernesto Che Guevara's 90th birthday anniversary.  Solidarity activists and participants at the gathering reaffirmed the fraternal ties between the two nations and peoples as they continue to work toward continental unity and integration.
