Varadero, June 26 (RHC-PL)-- The keynote speech “Emblematic elaborations of traditional Cuban cuisine and its heritage value”, Tuesday opened the 10th International Varadero Gourmet Festival that runs through June 29.
Speeches, product presentations, exhibitions and competitions, make up the event's agenda at the Varadero Plaza America Convention Center, about 140 kilometers east of Havana.
Exhibitions include titles such as: Eco-gastronomic vision for Cuban projects, Universality and Cuba in gastronomic services, From cocoa to chocolate, Habano cigar and its perfect trilogy, and Gin in Cuban cuisine.
National, international, state and private entrepreneurs and specialists linked to management, training and marketing of beverages and food, are participating in the festival.
Professionals and academicians who promote mixology and gastronomy, customers from all resorts of the country, especially Varadero, Havana, Cienfuegos and Trinidad, are also on the list.
Issues such as the merging of cultures in Cuban cuisine; current trends in food and beverage management; fusions of spirits, Habanos, chocolate and coffee, will have special attention.
The Gourmet Varadero Festival is sponsored by Palmares Extrahotel Company, Cubasol Business Group, the Ministry of Tourism and the Training Center of that ministry.
