Paris, March 14 (RHC) -- Cuban anti-terrorist Rene Gonzalez thanked French solidarity groups for their work to disseminate the truth about the Cuban Five and demand their release.

During a meeting at the Cuban Embassy in Paris, Rene expressed the pleasure he and his comrades felt when they got the first letters of support from France. He said they received letters from Jacquelin Rusi, who sends a message every month to U.S. President Barack Obama to demand the release of the Cuban anti-terrorists who are still unjustly imprisoned.

He highlighted that the Five Days for the Five campaign will be held in Washington, DC in early June this year. During these five days, visits will be made to congressional representatives and contact with the media will be carried out, as well as meetings with lawyers and intellectuals, and demonstrations in front of the White House.

The Cuban anti-terrorist fighter said that every day there are more groups of solidarity with the Five. He mentioned a Jamaican group that has called for the strengthening of international actions to release the remaining three still being held in the prisons of the United States.
