Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel to visit European and Asian nations

Havana, October 30 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel will make officials visits to several European and Asian countries beginning Thursday, November 1st.

During a news conference at the International Press Center in Havana, Emilio Lozada, director general of Bilateral Relations of the Cuban Foreign Ministry (MINREX), confirmed the upcoming visits by the Cuban president.   Lozada said that the Cuban leader will visit Russia, China, Vietnam, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Laos until November 12th.
    
On its website, the Cuban Foreign Ministry says that Díaz-Canel will be received by the highest authorities of the State and Government of those countries, with which he will discuss the main issues on bilateral agendas and analyze international issues of common interest.

In Russia, his first stop, the president of Cuba is planning meetings in Moscow with his counterpart Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dimitri Medvedev, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and other Russian personalities.
