Salvadoran President highlights Cuba's contribution to eradicating illiteracy

Havana, November 24 (RHC) – Salvadoran President Salvador Sánchez Cerén, thanked Cuba for its valuable contribution to eradicating illiteracy in the country, after La Paz was declared the first department free of illiteracy.

In a statement, Cuban educators in Salvador expressed their pride and pleasure to have contributed to such an important feat, citing it as motivation to continue their cooperation there, which has helped to reduce illiteracy in the Central American country by 10 percent in the last decade.
