Brasilia, November 28 (RHC)-- Cuban doctor José Ramón Acosta was elected Vice President of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics for Latin America and the Caribbean during the organization's seventh congress held in Brazil.
Acosta's election represents recognition of Cuba's contribution to the development of this speciality in the region. The remaining positions on the Executive Bureau as well as the 53 members of its advisory board were also chosen during the event.
