Havana, December 20 (RHC)-- In the presence of the Minister of Construction of Cuba, René Mesa Villafaña, the Italian group T.O.MA. signed a contract worth 80 million dollars for the construction of a new IBEROSTAR Hotel in Trinidad.
The work will be undertaken by the International Economic Association "AEI Trinidad", created on August 4, 2017 between the Italian T.O.MA. Group, a general contractor and executor of civil, industrial, infrastructure and plant engineering works in emerging markets, and the state construction company DINVAI.
"AEI Trinidad" is also set to build the Melia Trinidad Hotel. The contract for the work was signed on April 5, 2018 within the framework of the 22nd International Construction Fair (FECONS), organized by the Italian Agency for Trade and Investment (ICE).
The construction of both establishments is set to cost a combined total of approximately 140 million dollars, making it the largest contract ever awarded to an Italian company in Cuba.
