Havana, January 22 (RHC)-- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guinea, Mamadi Touré, is on an official visit to Cuba.

According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, cooperation ties between the two countries extend to various sectors such as education and health, especially in relation to the work of Cuban doctors in the fight against the Ebola epidemic that hit Guinea in 2013.

The Republic of Guinea was the second country in sub-Saharan Africa to establish diplomatic relations with Cuba after the triumph of the Revolution -- on August 30, 1960.
